Why is this program needed?

India ranks #50 on the global scale of competitiveness, #63 on higher education / training and #72 on infrastructure, despite being home to one amongst the world’s largest technical talent pools. The reasons for this irony lie significantly in the disconnect between training imparted in academic institutions and administration of public agencies. Specifically with respect to urban planning and municipal administration of our cities, this gap is simply too large.

Notwithstanding the prevailing constraining factors, IUSF strives to facilitate cross-pollination of competencies and energy of young budding professionals from the best of National and International academic institutions into the wide array of opportunities and challenges thrown up in city planning and management.
