Inauguration and address by the Chief Guest, address by senior officials from MoUD, BEE, and respective State Govts. Theme presentation by an expert providing an overview covering emerging issues, opportunities, and challenges.

TECHNICAL SESSIONS

Energy Efficiency in Street Lighting
Discuss technical issues for energy efficient street lights, both at the equipment level and for the entire system.

Energy Efficiency in Water & Waste Water Systems
Deep-dive into technical issues concerning energy efficient pumps and pumping systems, for both - water & waste water.

Energy Efficient Buildings
Explore issues in creating, incentivising and regulating energy efficient buildings. Examine wide gamut of issues ranging from building materials to architectural plans.

Eco-Cities
Dwell into the challenges in creating energy efficient urban systems or ‘Solar cities’ – cities that extensively use energy efficient systems and renewables in energy systems across – residential, commercial, institutional & public utilities. Examine key considerations for planning energy efficient townships and city plans.

DAY 2 – TRANSLATE OPPORTUNITIES INTO ACTION
TECHNICAL SESSIONS

Structuring PPP & Financing EE projects
Discussions on alternate PPP models; government and non-government sources of funding EE projects.

Urban Planning and Service delivery considerations in EE projects
Planning norms for street lighting; urban design considerations; service standards, water / waste-water utility performance improvements, etc. will be discussed.

BREAK-OUT

Action Planning
Structured break out discussions among cities facilitated by experts and ESCOs to evolve a state-specific action plan. Nodal state-level agencies will consolidate feedback, and develop an outline plan of action for implementation in weeks / months to follow.

PLENARY SESSION

Concluding session
Presentation of the outline action plan to participating cities and senior officers present. Concluding discussions on way forward.
