Our People

Our Management Team

IUSF is chaired by its founder, Mrs. Swati Ramanathan, India's eminent urban planner and social entrepreneur, working on urban sector issues and challenges for over two decades. She is also the co-founder of Janaagraha (India's leading NGO working on issues of urban governance), and a leading national advocate on issues related to urban planning, urban design, guarantee of land title, spatial data management; heritage conservation; participatory planning and related areas.

Recipient of Rajasthan Puraskar, Rajasthan’s highest civilian honor, Ms. Swati Ramanathan is herself guiding the IUSF team in preparation of the Jaipur Master Plan.

Operations are led by Mr. Shrinivas Kowligi, an urban sector expert with experience in advising urban sector policies and programs, and hands-on implementation of infrastructure projects. Shrinivas was advisor to the Ministry of Urban Development on JNNURM, India’s flagship program on urban infrastructure and governance reforms. With extensive consulting experience behind him, he brings a wealth of experience and understanding of change drivers in the urban sector at national, state and city levels.
